We’ve had two record heatwaves already this year. The RHS, the Woodland Trust and the HTA are now asking government to support an increase in domestic tree production – because the UK doesn’t grow enough of its own trees to keep up.
“Plant a tree” can sound tokenistic. It isn’t. This is your street being liveable in 40°C heat, or not.
