- Our courtyard welcome garden at the Henley Craft & Design Show
We were very proud to be invited to design the Welcome Garden at the main entrance of the Craft & Design Fair at the Henley Show Ground, near Hambleden, which took place on 21st-23rd June this year.
The welcome garden was split into 3 specific garden areas to reflect the differing needs of the garden owners and illustrate and inspire the visitors to the show with ideas for their own gardens. There was a formal entertaining courtyard garden, a relaxing area with wildlife habitats and a woodland style garden.
These garden illustrations showed which plants can thrive in difficult areas, such as under shady trees, and how to support nature and can create habitats for wildlife, including the bees which are intrinsically important to flowering plants, in all of our gardens. And also that whatever the size of your garden, you can still make it into a wonderful space.
There was lots of interest in all three gardens from the visitors to the show, including one lady who bought a whole section of the planting scheme in the woodland area so that she could recreate it exactly in a shady part of her own garden!
